Nuclear Blast has released an expanded reissue of Far From The Sun. The new release contains the five bonus tracks that so far had only been available on the US edition of the album, including an acoustic version of the title track, as well as a video clip. For the first time ever, the album is now also available on vinyl. The double LP comes in a deluxe gatefold sleeve.

Amorphis have been confirmed for the Rockmaraton Festival in Pécs (HU), headlining the Hammerworld stage on Thursday, July 10.

On July 5, Amorphis will perform at the world’s northernmost rock festival, Simerock in Rovaniemi (FI). Tickets will go on sale on April 1.

Following their appearance at Atlanta’s renowned ProgPower festival,
Amorphis will embark on a three-week club tour in the USA and Canada together with Samael, Leave’s Eyes and Virgin Black. The new dates are as follows:

Another fresh addition to the calendar is the Wanaja festival in Hämeenlinna (FI), where Amorphis will play on Friday, July 18.

Celebrating the 30th anniversary of Helsinki’s Live Music Association (ELMU ry), Amorphis will play a gig at Nosturi on Thursday, May 15.

Two more summer festival dates have been added to the tour calender:
4.7. Ruisrock, Turku (FI) and 19.7. Rockperry, Vaasa (FI).

On Saturday, June 28, Amorphis will perform at Estonia’s biggest metal festival, Hard Rock Laager in Vana-Vigala.

Eclipse and Silent Waters have been certified gold status for the sales of 15,000 copies each in Finland. The gold discs, presented to the band members at the Finnish Metal Expo in Helsinki on February 15, 2008, are the first ever in the almost 18-year history of Amorphis. As Esa stated at the presentation - “a minor occasion for the music industry, but a major achievement for us!”

On Thursday, June 26, Amorphis will play an open air concert in Helsinki’s Kaisaniemi Park together with Nightwish and Epica. Although the show will be a warm-up to the ensuing three-day Tuska festival, it is not part of the festival itself and Tuska tickets will not be valid for this event. The ticket sale starts on Monday, March 3.
Amorphis will also perform at Sauna Open Air in Tampere (FI) on June 8. Tickets for this festival will go on sale on February 19.

In addition to the gigs announced below, Amorphis will do a show at Club Teatria in Oulu (FI) on Saturday, March 8.

The Amorphis Webshop is now offering a new line of clothing by Kalatozulu, including t-shirts, girlies and hoodies with a brand new design. Also available for the first time ever are a beanie cap with embroidered floral style Amorphis logo and a Silent Waters fridge magnet.
